Finding Relief Shouldn't Feel Overwhelming
If you've been struggling — cycling through sleepless nights, emotional exhaustion, or the quiet sense that something is just off — you don't have to figure it out alone. Medication, when thoughtfully prescribed, can be a powerful part of reclaiming your life. My role is to make that process feel clear, collaborative, and completely centered on you.
I specialize in working with adults and children navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, and neurodevelopmental concerns. Whether you're exploring psychiatric care for the first time or looking for a provider who will actually listen, I want you to feel safe, informed, and in control of your own care from day one.
Together, we will:
- Explore your full story — not just your symptoms
- Discuss medication options in plain language, without pressure
- Build a personalized treatment plan that fits your real life
- Adjust and evolve your care as you grow
You deserve more than a prescription and a follow-up. You deserve a partner in your mental wellness journey.
Chelsia Burkes-Brown, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with nearly seven years of advanced practice experience spanning outpatient, inpatient, and telepsychiatry settings. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specialty from Walden University (2019), where she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the National Society of Leadership and Success. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of West Florida and an Associate Degree in Nursing from Wallace Community College. Chelsia is licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Florida, Vermont, Washington, Oregon, Maryland, Kansas, Massachusetts, Iowa, and Michigan, and holds DEA prescribing authority in all states where she practices — reflecting both the breadth and rigor of her clinical preparation. Her career has encompassed a wide range of populations and settings. She has provided psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and brief psychotherapy for patients across the full lifespan — from children and adolescents to geriatric adults — in outpatient clinics, inpatient behavioral health units, juvenile residential facilities, and high-volume telepsychiatry programs. She brings particular depth in DSM-5 diagnostic specificity, psychopharmacology, complex chart review, and EMR documentation across multiple platforms including Epic, NextGen, eClinicalWorks, and Meditech. Chelsia has also served as a Remote Adjunct PMHNP Clinical Faculty member in the MSN program at Northern Kentucky University, where she mentored graduate nursing students in diagnostic reasoning and clinical documentation — a reflection of her commitment to advancing the field she loves. She is a proud member of the American Nurses Association (ANA), the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA), and the Neuroscience Education Institute (NEI). Professional Bio +

Jesse holds licenses as both a dance/movement therapist (DMT) and a clinical counselor (LMHC). Dance/Movement Therapy is not about being a dancer or an athlete, but rather about the ability to listen to and feel the response to emotions being held in our bodies. When talking is not enough, the body takes over, giving Jesse alternative ways to assess one’s needs. Jesse earned her specialized Master of Arts (MA) in Dance/Movement Therapy (DMT) and Counseling from Columbia College Chicago. In 2010 she obtained Level 3 training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy through Behavioral Tech's, Dialectical Behavior Therapy Intensive Training™. Her professional career has encompassed a variety of settings, including an inpatient child/adolescent psychiatric facility, residential facility for adolescents, a therapeutic day school, and private practice in person as well as online.
Jesse holds active memberships with: American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA); American Psychological Association (APA); American Psychological Association, The Society for the Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity, and the Arts, American Mental Health Counselor Association (AMHCA), Florida Mental Health Counselor Association (FMHCA), and Space Coast Mental Health Counselors Association (SCMHCA).
